"In the US, when a doctor asked me to take certain medicine, I never question the intention of him." I definitely DO. They always offer me brand name medicines. I always ask them if there are any generic versions of the brand name ones. They said of course and as a matter of fact they function the same because they have the same chemical ingradients, but the price difference is 7-10 times. My doctors told me if I don't ask, they will just offer me the expensive brand names. By the way I have full medical insurance coverage, even the premium has been up constantly each year. For 2006 the bill I got for the whole company will be up 28%!!! Before long we will be working only for two types of companies in America, Insurance company and Gas company!!!
Whenever I am in China, in my mindset I treat myself as 100% local Chinese. Then everything will be OK. What do I have to complain about? my parents are still there living relatively happiely. If they are able to, I have no reason not to because my parents are superior to me in all respects. They are definitely "senior" to me.  )
