JOB DEscriptION
Our Client is looking for Program Managers to direct the New Product Development of Digital Satellite Receiver/Decoders. The company's Satellite Receiver/Decoder products serve various customers in markets around the world.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage the entire Cross-functional Development Team from Concept through Mass Production of new products as well as cost reduction programs. The Cross-Functional Team consists of: Product Management / Sales, All Engineering disciplines, Manufacturing / Operations, Sourcing, Quality, After Sales and Finance.
- Interface directly with internal Product Management, System Engineering and external Customer to clarify product requirements while representing the Development Team.
- Provide clear direction to the development team on program objectives and deliverables. Oversee the identification and management of issues/risks on the program, and drive decisions, recommendations for schedule, budget, cost, etc. tradeoffs through to closure.
- Work with Operations/Manufacturing to insure product launch plans and transition plans (when replacing older generation products).
- Establish and maintain Program Scope, Schedule, Budget, and Product Costs to meet Program objectives for which Program Manager is directly accountable.
- Provide Formal Design Reviews and Progress Reviews with the external Customer.
- Serve as direct point of contact to Management as Program Owner: Consolidate and prepare the program status information and present the Formal Program Business Reviews to Senior Management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 5 Years minimum demonstrated effectiveness in Project Management, directing new product developments. Experiences in product design a plus.
- Training in Project Management and/or Project Management Professional Certification preferred.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering. Masters preferred.
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interface with all levels of management, the various skill center personnel, as well as the external customer.
- Must have excellent leadership skills, organizational skills, and high energy level to lead and motivate the development team.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft applications- Word, Powerpoint, Excel as well as Microsoft Project.
