Senior Manufacturing Analyst

The primary task of these development teams is to develop and maintain our leading manufacturing, planning, scheduling, shop floor and analytics software products for our clients around the world. Job Responsibilities:
• Help further define development for our world-class Manufacturing software solutions in our software development centers in China.
• Co-ordinate work for a small team of China-based Business Analysts by working closely with software development, product management, support and services teams in the US, Europe and China.
• Conduct business analysis, author functional specifications, conduct product reviews, and act as a liaison between the China development center and other internal organizations based in the USA and Europe.
• Gather and clarify business requirements from internal subject matter experts and customers to understand the business case and create business scenarios.
• Assist development lead with the development of creative and effective solutions through the definition of workflows, processes, system integration and user interfaces and implements business models, interfaces, software and reports.
• Perform testing during the development process as a quality check to ensure business requirements have been met as specified in the solution.
• Work closely with other members of the development team to resolve client issues.
Qualifications:
• PhD/Master’s degree with concentration on Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Math, Information Systems, Chemical Engineering or other engineering and quantitatively oriented field.
• 4 to 6 years of research, industrial or academic experience in the areas of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution and Logistics.
• Excellent communication skills, with superb written and spoken language skills using both English and Chinese. Proven ability to document and communicate requirements and solutions.
• Extensive knowledge or consulting experience with Manufacturing and Planning solutions from reputable enterprise software vendors.
• Preferably experience in business analysis, process modeling, business process management, and IT solutions.
• In-depth understanding of systems design, testing and quality assurance methodologies is preferred.
• Management experience or proven ability to co-ordinate workloads or schedules.
• Experience with object-oriented methodology, architecture, analysis and design using Rational Unified Process, Unified Modeling Language, and Rational Rose is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Able to identify potential problems/outstanding issues and devise the solution to resolve them.
• Willingness for extended travel between the US and China is a must.
