Requirements:

Department Overview: International Product Management - Regional position
Job Description:

Google is looking for an experienced product marketing expert to help drive country specific product roadmap by offering systematic, data driven, user and customer insights and translating those insights into product requirements in order to best satisfy the needs of local consumers and customers. This position is based in Beijing, China.

Responsibilities:

- Sponsor and co-lead product research that offers penetrating insights into the needs and wants of local consumers and customers
- Identify product gap where as a company we fail or could do a better job to better satisfy end users and customers
- Work with the Product, Engineering, Business Development and Sales Teams to translate the user needs and wants into product requirements
- Co-drive long term product roadmap along with the Product Management and Engineering Teams
- Advocate for China’s product requirements to the executive management team
- Define and evolve Google product positioning, messaging and branding
- Work seamlessly with the Product Management, Engineering and UI designs to ensure products developed to best fit the needs of local users
- Work with Product Management, research and analytics, engineering, sales, corporate marketing and PR to define and execute on product launch and adoption strategies
- Interface with the Mountain View (HQ) based APAC and broader product marketing team and act as the chief liaison for Greater China

Requirements:

- Top-tier-school BA/BS degree or above, MBA strongly preferred.
- BA degree in marketing, psychology, computer science, math or another related subject that lays a solid foundation in technology and consumer oriented approach to thinking about products
- Native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and fluent in English
- 4 plus years of experience in developing product and/or product marketing plans based on deep consumer insights
- Online marketing and/or product management experience a strong plus
- Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market
- Outstanding ability to recommend appropriate consumer marketing research and distill from raw research data key consumer insights
- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead and influence both internal and external teams
- Motivated and creative with the ability to self-manage
