Job Summary:
The AFS Solution Developer will support a Solution Architect in shaping major F&A outsourcing deals. The Solution Developer participates in most of the sales cycle, and may remain involved in deals through transition and initial transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Value Creator
• Work with a Solution Architect to close AFS F&A Outsourcing opportunities that have strong value proposition for both client and XXXX
• Present our AFS solutions confidently and accurately to client executives and XXXX sales team
• Actively support all aspects of the AFS Sales Process; obtain all stakeholder approvals
• Team with client and sales team to develop RFI/RFP responses and sustainable solution plans for complex business issues AFS provides a complete suite of finance and accounting (F&A) business process outsourcing (BPO) services to large corporations and governments. We employ unique, proven assets and tools to reduce risk and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients’ finance operations. With a proven track record, pioneering process improvements and leading-edge technologies, AFS works closely with finance leaders to help them achieve high performance through quantifiable improvements in service, capabilities and cost.
• Leverage AFS knowledge, personnel, assets and tools in the development of solutions, or construct viable solutions where no precedent exists
• Create and independently validate opportunity specific economic models and business cases; coordinate activities with Client Transaction Services Team (CTS) members, ensure financial targets are met
• Complete high quality deliverables as part of the AFS Sales Approach process
• Support the due diligence, contracting and negotiations processes
• Support the implementation of Service Delivery by establishing transition and operations delivery teams
• Create, develop and continually improve the AFS sales process and capability
• Seek new business opportunities, identify potential AFS clients through business and personal contacts
• Support the development of new offerings and sales channels
• Continuously improve our sales processes, QA process, reporting and controls
Business Operator
• Ensure AFS Sales process is followed to accurately define the solution and prevent service delivery risks
• Co-ordinate the stage approval process and associated deliverables timely and accurately for each opportunity; attend calls as appropriate, obtain necessary approvals
• Leverage AFS developed tools to support efforts (Qualification tool, Solution Plan Templates, Salesforce.com etc.)
• Develop solution plans in coordination with Transition methodologies, Delivery Centre models and Service Operations reviews
• Prioritize efforts to most qualified, latest stage opportunities, address non-qualified opportunities timely and appropriately
• Escalate issues when appropriate
• Maintain Relationships with Operating Group Sales Personnel
• Educate others on AFS and AFS Sales Approach
• Coordinate with OG to share best practices and lessons learned to help identify future qualified opportunities
• Provide sound business rationale for improving the business case for non-qualified opportunities
People Developer
• Keep current on AFS solutions and industry information
• Participate in training events (firm sponsored, external and accounting industry sponsored training)
• Read and share BPO, AFS, Delivery Centre literature and updates
• Keep current on GAAP, SEC, Sarbanes-Oxley and other industry specific policies and regulations
• Motivate and build the BPO Team
• Proactively identify solutions to challenges
• Actively participate in Community, BPO and AFS events and XXXX wide initiatives (surveys, etc.)
• Contribute to AFS tools, assets and solutions
• Contribute to knowledge exchange databases and participating in SME forums
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Must-Have Skills/Qualifications: (list in order of priority)
• Five to ten years experience in positions of increasing responsibility, including roles in Accounting operations, Shared Services Center, Business Process Outsourcing, and/or Offshore experience
• Deep finance and accounting process acumen (i.e., Procure-to Pay [Accounts Payable], Order-to-Cash,
or Record-to-Report process experience)Potential to progress to executive level (Solution Architect role)
• Minimum of bachelors degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Potential to progress to executive level (Solution Architect role)
• Accounting operations, Shared Services Center, Outsourcing or Offshore experience
• Deep finance and accounting process acumen
• Team player
• Client facing experience
• Relationship building and influencing skills
• Strong project management ability
• Data analysis & interpretation

Nice-to-Have Skills/Qualifications:
• Ability to effectively communicate in English and Mandarin Chinese, including reading, writing & speaking skills; this is a required qualification for this role based in China
• Member of a professional accounting body (e.g., CPA, CMA) or hold a post-graduate qualification such as MBA Professional Accounting Qualification
• Japanese language skills for written and oral business communication.

Other Requirements:
• Travel required to/from client sites &/or sales team locations.
• Potential exists for Solution Developer to become involved in transition or service delivery on sold opportunities. This could require relocation or out of town assignment.
