question: "cash咋会成trash?" Two facts are given as follows:
1)During 1980 to 1982 the USA was experiencing the worst recession in 40 years.If I remember correctly the inflation rate in 1980 was 13.5%. From an investment point of view, Cash Was Trash at that time；
2)Fast rew/rev back to Aug. 1948 to July 1949 in China, the stupid gmd government issued 金圆券 to replace 法币，1 jin=3 million fa initially. The gmd government kept printing money from 5 兆 in 1945 to 604 兆 in 1948 before switching to Jin Yuan Quan. In May 1949 in Shanghai you needed 3 million Jin to buy one 石 rice. The prices of the goods were changed by hours! This was the first finance lesson I got from my mom. She told me by the end of 1948 she took her salary only in gold or US$. From a purchase power point of view, Cash was Trash! I can give you at least 4 more examples but have decided to make a long story short.
