Position Objective:
This position is responsible for overseeing and implementing marketing activities for Biochemistry,
Immunochemistry and Automated Pretransfusion Blood Testing System throughout China, as well as to support the current sales of the Diagnostic Instruments/Reagents and its distribution network in China.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•； Manage and improve in cooperation with the distributor network, marketing activities in China.
•； Manage distributor’s sales/marketing personnel in China, and evaluate the performance of them, and propose and implement improvements of their sales/marketing skill levels.
•； Serve as a main conduct in the transfer of market know-how among Olympus including OLME, Distributor and end users.
•； Provide prompt response to distributor’s / customer’s sales/marketing inquires.
•； Evaluate marketing activities of distributor and propose and implement changes to improve service effectiveness.
•； Conduct periodic assessments of the distributor’s current sales/marketing capabilities and future needs as required by the market.
•； Define reagents and consumables levels inventory and monitor stocks of distributor, to assure optimal customer service.
•； Support in attains the sales, profits and growth targets to meet Olympus guidelines.
•； Assist Managers in defining and establishing strategies (including sales, marketing and technical applications goals) to compete in those market segments.
•； Support distributor to organize Trade Shows / Congresses / Workshops and perform product demonstrations during these events.
•； Support sales activities with related proper technical information.
•； Enhance the collaboration and professionalism between Olympus and the distributor.
•； Support Managers in implementing market intelligence activities.
•； Prepare a monthly report, addressing accomplishments, competitor’s activities, special projects, travels, visits, training activities and next month key focus activities.
•； Manage travel and expense budget within guidelines.
•； Maintain open communication channels with distributor, Planning & Marketing Dept. and OLME marketing organization.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years in Biochemistry/Immunochemistry product experience with good market knowledge. A Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent work knowledge is required. Have an excellent grasp of similar products being serviced and of the technical details necessary to provide high service support levels to distributor and customers. Previous experience working in China. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills a must. Team player and innovative. Results oriented. Willing to travel 50%. Must be bilingual English / Chinese ( Mandarin).
