My apology to 幽忧MM and the others read my RE. I have to add a note to clear some confusions.

When we are talking "long term" or "short term," there are two different stuffs in mind (or at least in my mind). What I mentioned in the RE to 幽忧MM was about the vision of the investment. Please allow me to repeat:

To me, long term means more than five years.

Median term means somehow about 6 months.

Short term means about or less than 3 months.

Never try day trading. It will not work.

All these are about what an investor/trader may expect or define his/her investment/trading time scopes.

There are other meanings of "long term" or "short term" when we are talking about market trends. They are relatively short in time. For instance, when I mention a "short term trend," it means I am talking about the current trend and estimate variation of the trend may happen somehow in one month. So let me put this way. For market trends,

- Long term means about one year (the reason for the much shorter time period than the long term in investment time scope is that nobody can even have a rough estimate what will happen after more than five years -- or even after one year).

- Median term means somehow from 2 - 3 months, up to 6 months

- Short term means about one month, and definitely less than three months.

Sorry for this complexity. This field is indeed quite murky. Sometimes when we are talking about certain concepts, we may be unconsciously know what they mean and what is the scope of they valid. Nevertheless, it may cause confusions if we do not define these concepts clearly.

BTW, I am an ordinary guy like all of you, not "在投资公司吃饭." Thanks again for the encouragement from all of you. Will share my ideas and hope we will learn more from this brain-storm.
