Finance Manager China
Direct reporting line: GM Greater China
Dotted reporting line: CFO in Germany
Subordinate: 5p
Job description:
• Be responsible for the entire finance and accounting and the lT-organization
• Plan and monitor the financial strategy as well as management and development of policies, system processes
• Responsible for the monthly/quarterly/yearly group reporting and statutory reporting, according to the regulatory and legal requirements
• Further development and steering of the production controlling, i.e. responsibility for the cost accounting, assistance in optimizing the inventory level, realization of an adequate key ratio system for evaluation of the respective production areas regarding efficiency and effectiveness in close collaboration with the production manager
• Responsible for sales controlling, i.e. not only preparing the sales analysis data but also communicating with the respective business unit leader
• Responsible for budget planning and monthly control, i.e. explanation of monthly actual vs budget - analysis, including action plan for achievement of targets
• Responsible for the investment controlling and ROI (return on investment)-calculations
• Responsible for various analysis required by head office, treasury management, compliance with local requirements regarding i.e. taxes and filings
• Other responsibilities include management information systems (e.g. analysing and reporting of key performance indicators for all departments as sales and production analysis), company insurances, import/export administration, licensing, contracts and agreements, legal matters and activities, corporate level negotiations, external and regulatory bodies relationships (such as banks, auditors, lawyers and tax bureau) and approvals and accreditations.
Requirements:
• Professional qualification in Accounting / Finance and Business Administration
• Minimum of 6 years’ work experience in the finance- and accounting management coupling good knowledge of cost accounting
• Chartered accountant and SAP-knowledge is clearly an advantage
• Good software knowledge of all common Microsoft products (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience in project management is required
• Distinctive capacity for analytical thought
• A professional, independent and sensitive person with strategic thinking capacity
• Targets have to be set and realised independently, while distinguishing priorities
• Strong orientation towards quality, time and costs is desired, accompanied by pragmatism
• Ability to work hands-on as well as he/she is pro-actively observing and analyzing the business performance
• Fluent English (in written and spoken)
