Position Description:
Time Series system is a large enterprise-level system capable of storing all types of market data using a common platform. It is capable of accepting data at real time global market rates and recording that data into different types of distributed databa<x>ses while also serving that data to consuming applications upon demand. The time series engineering team is managing the scalability/capacity and performance of the time series systems and as well as the variable data feeds development and integrations.
Roles summary
- Be part of the Asia time series team and manage current time series systems. Perform the capacity planning activities within the time series infrastructure by identifying key resources usage and limitations.
- Develop utilities for analyzing the system capacity metrics and performance statistics, and as such planning the system growth and identify the performance bottleneck.
- Develop a system to check data content, detect data quality issues and notify the different users accordingly.
- Design, develop and implement data feed ETL processes. Provide level 3 support for the data ETL process. Diagnose and resolve technical and operational problems on installed networks, system and products.
- Develop the legacy system decommission programs and implement the system migration from legacy data store into new generation data store ba<x>sed on KDB/q technology.
- Manage or participate in the implementation and rollout of new services and releases.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in Perl or Python programming language.
- Strong knowledge in Linux/Unix. Be able to write shell s<x>cripts, debug the program in Linux/Solaris environment and conduct effective performance monitoring and tuning as well.
- Strong understanding of relational databa<x>se architecture and concept. Be able to do SQL programming.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong relationships with a diverse group of peers and users across technical groups and business units.
- Good communication skills and good team player.
Skills Desired:
Good at KDB/q.
Good at one of the core language either C++ or Java
Understand DB2/Syba<x>se/Informix
Understand the networking and IT security.
Job title: IT Security Specialist
Asia Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT)
Position Description
looking for a talented individual to join a growing team of incident response experts. Job duties are mainly incident response functions related to IDS and AV alerts and the occasional analysis of live malware samples. Other incident response work may be required to support a broader range of activities within the larger IT Security department. The selected candidate will be located in Shanghai, China and will work with a global team of IT Security professionals.
- Experience performing incident detection, handling, and analysis in a operational environment (e.g. SOC, CERT teams);
- Knowledge of, and experience with packet analysis and/or IDS/IPS technology and/or malware analysis and/or vulnerability assessment;
- Experience in web site and web application security assessment or penetration testing;
- Experience reviewing and analyzing Security Events from various monitoring and logging sources.
Skills Required
Candidate will possess:
- Formal education or a strong background in Computer Science, computer engineering or similar experience;
- An active knowledge of current trends in computer security, software vulnerabilities;
- An active interest in current security research;
- Ability to work as part of a Global CERT Team which requires rotational weekday/weekend on-call coverage;
- A strong sense of teamwork, an inquisitive mind and the desire to share knowledge;
- Ability to work independently and with a minimal supervision.
Skills Desired
- Previous experience working as a part of an IT Security team within a financial institution;
- Knowledge of IDS / IPS / firewall / honeypot systems;
- Host and Network Forensics;
- Malware analysis;
- Automation, s<x>cripting (python, perl, ruby);
- Security product assessments;
- Security tools development.
