• Years Experience 5 plus (or equivalent)
• Previous Work Experience
DBA & SQL experience of relational database at an enterprise level.
Experience in one of the flavours of UNIX or Linux (HP-UX, Solaris, Suse, Redhat) preferably this would be in the form of UNIX Admin or as high level user.
Experience in system installations, upgrades and migrations using change management best practices.
Experience/Exposure to Intel based server systems hardware maintenance.
Experience in enterprise storage management solutions products Netbackup, Netvault or Tivoli.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts for UNIX, Linux and Windows environment.
Knowledge of scripting in Perl or shell.
• Preferred Professional Certification Tertiary qualification advantageous (i.e. Bachelor Science, Bachelor of Engineering).
Teradata certification desirable.
• Communication
English communications skills, spoken and written.
Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Additional language skills desirable.
