Job description
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing architect support for the IBM internal IT services billing & reporting tool - e-Metrics Measurement Application (eMMA), as well as providing reporting & metrics development support for GTS-SD NA Resource Mgmt. eMMA support responsibilities include requirement and issue/defect analysis, designing and documenting requirement and issue/defect solutioning for developer implementation, technical and usabilitly application education, application administration tasks to keep application running at optimum levels (changing passwords, clearing disk space, etc), and ASCA documentation lead. GTS-SD NA Resource Mgmt reporting development responsibilities include reporting and data requirement analysis, reporting enhancement development and maintaence, reporting production execution, and data validation. They assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
Key Duties & Responsibilities % of Time
eMMA application design and solutioning - includes new requirement and defect/issue solutioning 20%
eMMA application support - resolving issues and communication with application owner and focals 20%
eMMA application administration and optimization 10%
Reporting development and implementation 30%
Reporting maintanence and validation - ensure data integrity 10%
Reporting production execution 5%
"Reporting requirement evaluation and analysis - Work with business process owners, tool and data architects, and management to design and deliver reporting solutions 5%
Decisions Impact on Business/ Scope:
Reviews new requirements and issues/defects with eMMA tool to design solutions; flawed solution design can result in data integrity issues and inaccurate internal cost recoveries through the tool
Reviews reporting requirements for GTS-SD NA resource mgmt and provides recommendation; flawed recommenation and solution can result in incomplete or incorrect data used by executive management to make critical business decisions
Minimum
3+ yrs. experience in various data reporting tools and platforms (MVS, DB2, QMF/SQL, Lotus Notes)
5+ yrs. experience in various data reporting tools and platforms (MVS, DB2, QMF/SQL, Lotus Notes)
3+ yrs. experience in developing solutions in Brio
5+ yrs. experience in developing solutions in Brio
2+ yrs. experience with GTS-SD NA data, process and tools in the following areas – resource management, cost management, and business controls
3+ yrs. experience with GTS-SD NA data, process and tools in the following areas – resource management, cost management, and business controls
3+ years in data mining experience
2+ years experience in DB2 relational database development
3+ years experience in application architecture
3+ years experience in REXX programming
3+ years experience in CMS Pipelines
3+ years experience in MS Excel
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
