SDET II – China Innovation
If you’re interested in mature solutions serving mature markets, stop reading now!
The China Innovation Group hosted with ATC Beijing is chartered with creating new products and businesses for the dynamic Chinese market. Our work centers on consumer and mobility solutions targeting the China user. We deliver high user value propositions quickly by using agile processes and flexible collaboration models across China and Microsoft. We are seeking a smart, talented and technical SDET Lead to deliver quality V1 products into this exciting market.
Candidates must have a track record of shipping high quality products on time, with excellent coding and test automation in C++ or C#; spec, design, and code review; and bug identification/triage/reporting experience. You should bring experience in mobile services, Microsoft test tools (WTT/PS), and performance/stress/globalization testing. You’ve been through at least one full product cycle at Microsoft and you are comfortable both with hands-on test work and planning and leading the project. A degree in Computer Science or other engineering discipline is required.
You must also love the pace, independence, and accountability of a startup environment. You need great team-building and people development capabilities with at least 1 year as a test lead plus five years overall testing and you must have fluent English skills – with Mandarin a definite plus.
Primary responsibilities:
1) Drive and participate in test effort from idea through release.
2) Design and implement test plans, strategies, and tooling to ensure V1 quality.
3) Create and deploy automated testing scenarios/frameworks into early production cycle
4) Analyze & report product bug status and keep production in high quality in each milestone.
5) Build a mix of vendors and FTEs into a team of focused and dedicated testers.
6) Work across teams to ensure coverage and coordination of testing efforts.

We are looking for experienced software developer in test to join the team and ensure the product quality and customer satisfaction along with DEVs and PMs.
We are hiring top notch testers to help delivering software innovations to improve healthcare in China and across the world. We’re applying latest software technologies to help healthcare industry to address some key challenges. Developers, testers, and program managers organize into small project teams to implement and test the ideas using agile development processes. The teams are self-managing and are empowered to make critical project related decisions, including scope, direction, architecture, technology choice, schedule, and deployment.
On top of the excellent problem solving and coding skills, we are looking for testers with the following qualifications:
• At least 5+ years of experience automated testing software products.
• Experience of testing through all stages of the product lifecycle.
• Excellent test design, running, reporting and root cause analysis then problem solving skills.
• Broad experience and/or knowledge in building large scale enterprise software on Windows Server platform.
• Excellent C# coding/debugging skills.
• Experience in Microsoft SQL server, especially in SQL store procedure testing for large scale applications.
• Can learn new technologies quickly.
• Good English and oral and written communication skills. Chinese oral and written communication skills strongly preferred.

And the following characteristics:
• Passion to quality. You need proactive taking responsibility of product quality, empathy to customer pain, sensitive feeling of potential defects and down to earth spirit of problem finding and resolving.
• Creative. You need to be able to think out of box, have a good instinct with technology and customer needs, is able to come up with original solutions to solve the unspoken customer issues.
• Great at team work. The project team is self organized, not assigned. You need to work with different people over the time to make your project successful. Managers will provide guidance, but you'll need to figure out the most effective way to work with others. You also need to collaborate with partner teams and community developers to make the maximum impact.
• Can handle ambiguity and be very pragmatic. There will be lots of unknowns. You'll need to make solid progress towards the goal day by day. Not only do you need to dream big, but also be realistic.
• Excellent customer focus. The success or failure of a concept test is based on the customer feedback and usage data. It’s critical that developers can not only implement the idea but also be able to reliably measure how ideas work or don’t work. Working directly with end users to gather feedback and respond to feature requests is also crucial.

The following are big plusses:
• Solid understanding of developing services on Windows Azure platform.
• Healthcare related software development experience and knowledge.
• Enterprise architecture design experience.
• Workflow development and rule-based system experience.
• Technical leadership. You need to proactively participate in or lead design/code review and provide valuable input for design trade-off decision.
