Position:Product Engineer产品工程师
Responsibilities:
1、Collaborate with the product design teams within the NPD and SE groups with goal of rapid introduction of new or modified components and materials into high volume manufacturing
2、Plan and coordinate the prototyping of modified designs and processes with goal of transferring successful concepts to mass production to achieve cost and/or quality improvements
3、Coordinate both internal and external technical resources, specifically related to the execution of engineering trial runs and the evaluation thereof.
4、Analyze experimental results and then effectively communicate those results to the broader teams in the US and abroad.
5、Use statistical techniques as a tool to improve existing products and processes
6、Review and analyze data from production operations. Identify and prioritize areas for product /process improvement; potentially leading the effort to implement and monitor those changes
7、Interface with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure product specification tolerances, SC’s and CC’s are all being met.
8、Lead and mentor junior engineers within the manufacturing sites, driving adherence to company and automotive-industry development and quality systems (APQP, TS16949,etc)
9、Drive strict adherence to change management disciplines (change requests, version control, change validation and release).
10、Collaborate with Plant Engineering personnel with the development of in-process and final screening protocols for the cell products.
11、Participate in generation and maintenance of the DFMEA
12、Participate in generation and maintenance of the PFMEA, ensuring continuity with DFMEA structure and content
13、Participate in the planning and execution of root cause analysis of failures incurring in the production environment
14、Assist with failure analysis of field returns
15、Assist other Sustaining Engineers in their communication with Asian-ba<x>sed suppliers, related to the development and validation of detailed material specifications for improved or second source materials, and the resolution of any quality issues. •
16、Interface directly with supplier and internal technical staff. Present and defend test data, and technical analyses
17、Understand and adhere to program timelines.
Requirements:
1、BS in Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering or closely related field.
2、Five years related experienced in a high volume manufacturing environment or structured product development environment.
3、Individual drive and flexibility to work in a rapidly developing entrepreneurial environment
4、Ability and willingness to work on multiple projects at one time and be able to adapt to changing priorities.
5、Resourceful, strong attention to detail and capable of rapidly integrating observations and results into subsequent development activities.
6、Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
7、Excellent English communication skills with the ability to make written and oral presentation to various groups within the organization including directly to Senior Management as well as to customer representatives.
8、Proficiency with Minitab or Design Expert
9、Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
10、Knowledge of computational statistics and statistical process control.
11、The ability to examine and analyze very large sets of numeric data
12、Demonstrated experience with controlled experimentation, including the application of Design of Experiments tools.
13、Sound knowledge of manufacturing flow and manufacturing methods.
14、Working experience with Quality & Reliability disciplines (FMEA, APQP, 8D).
15、A basic understanding of electrochemical reactions (redox reactions).
16、A working experience with high volume production, ideally of batteries or battery-related materials
17、Familiarity with Chinese, Korean, German and Austrian languages and business cultures.
