Description
Delivery Manager is responsible for a Software Delivery Unit, sized ~40-60 persons.
He/she acts as the direct superior to the personnel in the unit and does the necessary planning in terms of costs/competence to maintain an effective software development unit. Software is our core business, and the Delivery Manager is the key person for our customers, providing high-quality software development services.
The work includes close co-operation with both local sales force and the companies overseas.
Responsibilities :
1. Project staffing and profitability forecasts for the unit.
2. Commitment to all the unit’s deliveries for Customers.
3. Responsible for daily cost control.
4. People management
1) Staffing planning responsibility.
2) Involved in recruitment.
3) Responsible for the competency building.
4) Conduct continuous performance evaluation on team members within the unit ba<x>sed on the comments from PM’s / Team Leaders & Competence Owner(s)
5) Daily staff management
Qualifications :
1. At least 7-8 working experience in IT industry with at least 4-5 years management experience ( i.e. with working experience as Project Manager , Line Manager or Department Manager )
2. Suitable educational background (M.Sc preferred).
3. High sense of responsibility.
4. Good understanding of fair and motivational staff management practices; an open, transparent approach to unit management
5. Understanding and insight into the software outsourcing market..
6. Ability to innovate and adopt new practices and to be able to listen and learn from other team members.
7. Proven ability to communicate with clients in efficient way .
8. Good communication skills in English.
