The architect will work closely with account teams and the clients to identify additional opportunities. Responsibilities include:
- Analysis and management of detailed customer ITO requirements
- An understanding of client infrastructure
- Mapping of requirements to Unisys solutions
- Lead the Solution Architecture creation in close cooperation and with support from the Solution Architect team
- Guide the proposed technical solutions through the Unisys Deal Review Board for approval
- Provide detailed architectural artifacts and documentation to support onsite architects and implementation teams
In addition, the Client Enterprise Architect is expected to become the single point of contact for architecture related oversight on specific client accounts including responsibility of the overall Solution integrity for these accounts. The architect may also participate in account roadmap planning sessions.
Skills:
Enterprise architect experience (7- 20 years) in one or more of the following areas:
o End User Productivity – virtualization, software distribution, zero touch services, roaming users
o Remote infrastructure management - remote network, storage and systems management, event handling (BMC based), runbook automation
o Service management – service desk, service management processes, CMDB
o Cloud Computing – secure, virtualized, multi-tenancy environments
Specific, in-depth knowledge (3-5 years experience) in one or more of the following areas:
o Windows technology (including Windows 7 as it relates to productivity / steady state operations, including migration of large organizations to Windows 7)
o BMC Service Management Suite
o Business to Business Adapters (preferably based on iWave technology)
o Client Portal technology (including SSO pass-through authentication)
Relevant certifications in Infrastructure Services (ITIL), Systems Engineering and Administration (MCSE, MCSA, RHCE, SCSA, etc.), Information Management (CISM, CISA), and/or Security (CISSP)
Working knowledge of IT operational procedures and processes.
In-depth knowledge and experience with at least 3 years Enterprise Systems Management experience including design, testing, and implementation.
Three years minimum Data Center experience and one year minimum Data Center management experience.
Two years experience in developing, enhancing and supporting event correlation.
Familiarity with database and infrastructure software design, implementation, maintenance, upgrade and operations technique.
Knowledge of data processing and network/communication concepts, products and protocols
Familiarity with various operating systems and industry-accepted standards and client/server application computing environments.
Experience in project management including managing and motivating technical personnel.
Possesses strong product, technology, and industry knowledge.
Experience performing storage and enterprise platform systems design, implementation, troubleshooting, and management across heterogeneous environments.
Strong working knowledge of storage technologies (i.e., SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fiber Channel, Enterprise Storage Arrays, Data Replication, HSM). Administration of multiple UNIX environments, hardware and operating systems.
Experience with design (blueprinting) and developing conceptual, logical, and technical architecture models.
Degree:
Bachelors degree or higher in CS, CIS, MIS or equivalent
Relevant certifications in Infrastructure Services (ITIL), Systems Engineering and Administration (MCSE, MCSA, RHCE, SCSA, etc.), Information Management (CISM, CISA), and/or Security (CISSP)
