Report to:Global Sales Director
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Select, train, manage, evaluate and develop direct sales employees in sales territory
2. Identify, recommend, train, manage and evaluate indirect representative and distributor companies in the sales territory
3. Develop and implement multiple year strategies to meet company growth and sales objectives
4. Travel with direct reports and indirect channel agents to customer locations to meet with senior executives, engineering and purchasing to understand specific customer’s needs, collect market data, collect VOC (Voice of Customer) input and expand company sales.
5. Develop and implement new product launch strategies in sales territory
6. Implement standard work for sales associates in the sales territory, as defined by Company sales department
7. Prepare reports and data that is both timely and accurate as required
8. Participate in global meetings as required
9. Gather, analyze and report industry, customer and competitive trends and activities.
10. Support specific tasks requested by other areas of the company such as Business Unit, Finance, Marketing, Field Service, Operations, etc. in the sales territory
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS degree required, BSME or BSEE preferred
5-10 years of successful sales management experience in electronic, electro/mechanical components, electric utility, power generation, or transmission & distribution industries.
Experience with direct account sales responsibility with end users, OEMs or both
Experience with management of direct sales team
Experience with management of indirect sales team (representatives & distributors)
Strong working knowledge of personal computers and appropriate software applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point, etc.
Action orientation, strong sense of urgency to meet/exceed goals
Ability to multi-task and prioritize critical issues
Strong oral and written communication skills in primary local language and English
Excellent customer relations & interpersonal skills. Builds relationship creditability and trust with customers
