Responsibilities:
• Manage overall translation team in Nanjing and Shenzhen.
• Responsible for monitoring the output quality, process performance and customer service compliance.
• Deliver high quality output to customers which is consistent with the culture and general practice in the business world.
• Report to Operation Director.
Requirements:
• Tertiary educated in translation or English, preferably with a higher degree
• Experience in hiring, managing and motivating translation teams, ability to work under tight schedules and deadlines
• Excellent people and project management skills and the ability to collaborate with our internal and external clients without supervision
• At least 1 to 2 years' solid experience in vetting and translating business and legal documents from Chinese to English & vice versa
• Able to prioritize the work and motivate the team to meet tight deadlines without compromise in quality
• Coordinate with different departments and resource projects assigned to the team, most of which are same day translation requests from internal clients.
• Be well organized and able to multi task effectively under pressure
• Be accountable to ensure each team member has performance/ development plans, progress reviews and an annual review
• Excellent command of both written English and Mandarin.
• Candidate with less experience can be considered as Translation Supervisor
