Position Title: Business HR Manager
Location: Shanghai
Role Summary:
• To support the Office People Plan creating a great place to work which improves people’s loyalty to our business.
• Deliver the people processes and coach managers to improve capability to deliver every little helps for customers, staff and operations.
• Coaching managers to consistently deliver the people processes in the operating model
• Building managers’ capability through performance, talent and Options
• Coaching managers to solve problems at work and listening to our staff
• Implementing and embedding change to deliver the Office People Plan
• Managing data and analysis
Key Responsibilities:
• Change lands first time as a result of my coaching
• Talent Planning is alive in the Office and we are Spoilt for Choice
• I coach managers to improve the capability of Managers in the Office
• I help the Office meet its targets for People Key Performance Indicators
• The Office has an active Viewpoint plan in place
• I provide people insight which can help the Office make decisions on risks or opportunities
• I support our staff to attend work and recognise full attendance
• I am flexible and fair in dealing with short term and prolonged absence and prompt in dealing with unacceptable absence
• I use feedback from exit interviews to address issues and reduce staff turnover

• Significant previous experience as Personnel Manager

Detail Responsibilities:
People – To consistently deliver Every Little Helps for our people
• I actively share ideas about how I could do more in my job and improve the Business for Customers
• I acknowledge progress and celebrate success with my colleagues
• I complete Viewpoint and I am honest with my views
• I deliver every little helps
• I agree objectives with my Manager and prepare for my reviews
• I have a Personal Development Plan based on 360 feedback that addresses my behavioural and technical needs
• I am supportive of and willing to help both managers and colleagues at all times
• I share ideas with my Manager on how I can simplify my work
• I take part in career discussions at least once every two years
Customer - To consistently deliver Every Little Helps for our customers
• I coach Managers on how to develop positive employee relations and listen to staff so that our people can effectively deliver every little helps
• I action ideas gathered from staff focus groups and Viewpoint, so that our Managers can make better decisions for our people and customers
Operations – To consistently deliver Every Little Helps for operations
• I provide personal development coaching for Managers to develop their capability, using the Leadership Framework
• I review the Viewpoint results with Office Leadership teams and check action plans are in place and regularly reviewed
• I coach Managers on the Supporting Your Attendance process; checking staff are always treated fairly and consistently
• I provide guidance and advice on all disciplinary and grievance related issues
• I provide guidance to all managers on how to deliver all people processes in the operating model
• I lead the talent spotting process and support the Options programme to meet development targets
• I use the recruitment process so that people moves and appointments are always well managed and I support managers to help them to fill vacancies
• I actively support changes to jobs and structures, checking that people are clear on the changes to their job
• I review the quality of Performance Reviews, objectives and Personal Development Plans with the Leadership teams across the Office
• I keep the Values Awards alive by regular recognition events for staff
• I check that exit interviews take place and investigate reasons for leaving
Finance - To consistently deliver Every Little Helps for finance
• I manage the Office annual pay review process following Group guidelines, checking that all pay decisions are fair and delivered within budget
• I coach managers on pay so we consistently reward for contribution
• I help to deliver the cost centre budget and feedback to my manager ways of reducing costs
Community - To consistently deliver Every Little Helps for our community
• I help my department to be part of the local community
• I work with staff and customers to reduce our impact on the environment by using less energy and reducing, re-using and recycling waste
• I educate and engage staff, colleagues and customers on our Community Plan
