Job Title: Procurement Engineer
Department: Supply Chain Location: Shanghai
Reporting To: Procurement Manager
Direct Report:
Duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for technical procurement, looking for & developing sub-contractor/third party supplier based on company.
Development plan and projects specific requirements.
During projects bidding process, call for bid and quotes, evaluate vendors' capability, quality, and reliability and negotiate with vendors to raise project biding win rate.
Analyze industry trends and supply market, sourcing best practices to develop new qualified sources of supply.
Carry out annual negotiation with key vendors to effect cost reduction on key commodity groups.
Investigate cost reduction opportunities through new suppliers or changes in current suppliers' materials.
Experience/qualifications requirements:
High level of integrity and business ethics.
Technical background.
At least 2 years solid working experience, familiar with Fire products & system. Knowledgeable on the technology and market trends of Fire industry.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
