Merchandise Quality Engineer/Manager
Responsibilities
• Manage Quality Risk by ensuring quality standards of merchandise match with retail market requirements
• Establish proper communication channels for legal, safety and quality requirements of each retail market. The channels include QA at retail market, test labs, standards organizations and certification bodies, leading suppliers/manufacturer, industrial associations
• Establish evaluation measures for assessing the technical competence and capability of a supplier or manufacturer
• Provide inspection check list for all inspections (including sample approval) that can be used by GP and suppliers, in order to minimize the overlooks
• Participate quality control inspection or factory quality system assessment
• Investigate quality issues, review quality return ratio and take corrective and preventive measures whenever applicable
Requirements
• University/College graduate in relevant science
• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience is a must
• In-depth technical knowledge of product category responsible for (lab test, QA experience w/ leading manufacturer/supplier/buying office), relevant manufacturing experience is a plus
• Organizational skills to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
