Great China OD Manager
Key Activities / Accountabilities
l To consistently and transparently attract, develop and retain quality people who provide outstanding and distinctive service and customer care.
l Formulates and implements Organisation Development policies in line with the Business Strategy and the HR strategy, and implements these policies and relevant programs in support of these.
l Talent Management & Succession Planning
l To ensure the long-term success of China through effective Succession Planning and Talent Management & Development.
l Develop and maintain structured approach and process for succession planning & talent management.
l Conduct appropriate discussions with line managers/directors to ensure they identify talent and successors effectively
l Design and implement talent management programs including final evaluation targeted at various levels including junior staff, external and internal management trainees and senior managers
l Ensure local succession and talent management activities and processes are in line with Divisional processes
Employee Engagement
l To continually improve efforts to increase and deepen Employee Engagement:
l Formulate strategy to improve Engagement & continually review and improve it.
l Ensure strategy is implemented and followed up on (e.g. Branches submit their action plans, etc)
l Continually measure the Employee Engagement rates and benchmark these within company and against external best practices.
Networking and project work
l To build relationships and to participate in OD-related projects on a business unit and divisional level, through the provision of high quality data and information, to assist in informed project decision-making.
l On request, participate in any divisional training related initiatives.
l Build and maintain relationships with functional peers and HRD.
l Ensure achievement of action points assigned.
l Involve appropriate parties as required.
Essential Educational and / or Training Qualifications & Certificates
l University/graduate level, preferably in an HR related area
l Minimum 5 years experience in an Organisation Development and Management Development field.
l Knowledge of the business levers, company processes and structures.
l Approachable personal style, effective problem analysis.
l Strong coaching, influencing and interpersonal skills.
l Necessary Technical / Functional Skills
l Good presentation & facilitation skills
l Good verbal and written Chinese and English skills
l Excellent ability to relate to Senior Management and maintain credibility with them
l Excellent ability to relate to employees at all levels and build relationships with them.
