Job Purpose:
Be responsible for the controlling function of Suzhou operations through business planning process, providing value added support and managing business controls, risk & exposure.
Be responsible for the Accounting function of Suzhou operations on financial transaction processing and reporting, which include the process of Procurement to Pay, Record to Report, and Cash Transactions.
Be responsible for the finance competency development of Suzhou finance team.
1. Business Planning
Strategic Planning support: determining organizational, unit and company goals and the strategies that are required to attain those goals
Annual Budgeting: establishing annual financial budgets and targets for each business unit, which meet management’s expectations and overall corporate objectives
Outlook/Rolling Forecast: periodically re-forecasting business unit performance ensure forecast process provides early warning of potential risks/opportunities versus reports against budgeted performance targets
2. Provide Value Added Support
Business Performance Analysis: providing operations management with interpretive and predictive financial information to make business performance assessments and capital investment decisions through the use of sensitivity, pro forma and cause-and-effect analysis.
Business Performance Reporting: capturing, analyzing and producing management information related to past and future performance of a given business
Costing Analysis: analyzing cost accounting data for recovery rate development and variance analysis
New Business / Pricing Analysis: gathering, evaluating and presenting financial, operating, and contractual information about proposed business transactions
3. Managing Business Controls, Risks and Exposure
Treasury Management: securing of funds to meet the company's cash flow needs and the investment of any excess, identifying company business risks and activities relating to insurances to cover risk or damage compensation; activities related to external reporting and investor relations
Tax Planning: researching, developing, communicating and implementing effective tax planning strategies
Tax Regulatory: collecting and remitting taxes paid to regulatory authorities, such as those governing the sale of tobacco or alcoholic beverages
Internal Control: Developing, implementing and self-assessing internal business control, make sure the Sarbanes Oxley compliance are in place.
Compliance controls: ensure operations are performed in accordance with laws and in- and external regulations. Including General Business Principles, company rules and regulations, local law & regulations
4. Financial Transaction Processing & Reporting
Ensure timely and accurate financial transaction processing on Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Freight Payment, Customer billing, General Accounting, Project Accounting, Cost Accounting and Fixed Assets Accounting.
Ensure smooth and efficient transaction processes are in place.
Financial database available confidentially online and with searchable features
5. Enable Finance Function
Establish financial policies and controls as well as general administration and personnel management
Strong formal employee development and training relied on as keys to successful continuous improvement efforts
Rotate finance staff through business operations positions to increase business acumen
Implement a formal career development program emphasizing and rewarding development of cross-functional skills

Qualification
University Graduate, major in accounting or business
Masters degree highly desirable
Local language plus business English
Experience in managing people/leading team
Consistently High Performer
Computer Literate
10+ years experience in Finance areas in multi-national industry company, with approximately 6+ years at management level.
ERP experience in SAP or Forth Shift
CPA certification is must
