Job Title/Grade: Senior Manager, Software Engineering
Business Unit: Information Intelligence Group
Position Opening: 1
Location: Shanghai
Job Responsibilities
• Manages multiple teams and the overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources
• Enhances and maintains a best-of-class engineering team
• Drives and provides directions to ensure on-time high quality delivery
• Creates schedules and work plans for developing complex enterprise products
• Communicates progress toward goals. Share information with related groups. Interface with senior management to report on project and program milestones and to present project needs
• Implements and develops engineering processes and operational policies within the area managed.
• Proactively improves and adopts new best practices.
• Grow team’s productivity, capability, and core competency.
Job Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise software product development group
• Exceptional people management and leadership skills demonstrated over 4+ years of formal experience, with an excellent track record of hiring and growing outstanding senior-level talent
• Track record of building strong development teams with positive and productive cross-group relationships
• Strong strategic thinking and development planning experience focused on shipping highly robust systems software on time and on budget.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in the global diverse team
• Ability to drive technical decisions, solve tough problems, and organize multiple projects executing concurrently.
• Strong background in implementing software development life cycle processes that keep development efforts predictable and agile.
• Broad technology awareness and curiosity including experience defining technical architectures, establishing engineering best practices and promoting emerging technologies
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
