• Lay out long-term technology architecture plan and roadmap for the IT organization
• Put in place a technology architecture board to make decisions on architecture
• Run an effective technology planning cycle to support the CIO team
• Keep up to date on emerging and evolving technologies and understanding their implications to the business (e.g., cloud computing)
• Drive fact-ba<x>sed, ob<x>jective and clear analyses and business cases for infrastructure technology investments and portfolio, creating shared alignment between IT towers
Key requirements
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to structure problems thoroughly and approach their analyses methodically
• Bring fact-ba<x>sed analyses to enable ob<x>jective decision making on complex technology architecture issues
• Strong collaboration ability with need to build and run global virtual teams
• Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in IT and business
• Possesses strong English communication skills, verbal and written
o Ability to create business and executive presentations (including Powerpoint)
o Ability to create technical documentation
• Limited travel – less than 20%, primarily within China
• Technical skills – overall 10+ years hands-on experience with a broad range of enterprise-class technology solutions
