Sourcing Engineer Supervisor

Recruitment process:
+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
+ Work with Zhuhai-based and U.S.-based cross-functional team to execute outsourcing projects successfully
+ Utilize a structured supplier qualification process that will link to a computer data base
+ Perform audits and quality inspections at potential or established supplier’s facility.
+ Provide comprehensive sourcing support during supplier qualification, request for quotation (RFQ), and supply implementation
+ Work with selected suppliers on yearly cost reduction initiatives with fit/form/function approvals from U.S.
+ Monitor and track on time delivery and quality scorecard for selected supplier feedback
+ In-country problem resolution
+ Perform supplier management and relationship tasks
+ Perform tasks with a positive, team-oriented approach
Requirements:
+ Bachelor degree or equivalent
+ Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Automation Engineering preferred
+ More than 5 years of work experience with fabricated metal and plastic products, including tooling, in the greater Guangdong Province with in-depth knowledge of the local supplier base
+ More than 3 years experience with quality systems and auditing such systems
+ Experience sourcing products incorporating metal parts and plastic components and involving powder paint and/or mechanical assembly
+ Demonstrated leadership in project management
+ Production management and purchasing experience is a plus
+ Working knowledge of AutoCad, SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer or equivalent 3D design software experience is required
+ Must be able to read and interpret drawings
+ Knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication/assembly/powder painting and plastic manufacturing processes
+ Strong personal computer skills (especially spread sheet and data base applications)
+ Excellent statistical analytical skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
+ Good business skills
+ Ability to solve technical problems quickly
+ Ability to visualize and conceptualize ideas and applications
+ Must be able to observe and understand complex geometric mechanical relationships
+ Ability to work across and with a global organizational structure from an independent China location
+ Fluent in Mandarin (Written and spoken)
+ Fluent in English (Written and spoken)
+ Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
+ Able to work independently
+ High level of integrity and ethics
+ High sense of urgency
+ Willing to live and work in Zhuhai, Guangdong province
+ Must be able to travel on a regular basis for in-country supplier visits/audits and internationally as required
+ Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed above
+ Ability to take and execute direction from Sourcing Engineer Supervisor in the Zhuhai office and work across time zones to achieve specific tasks and goals
