Job Summary
The BMAP Finance Controller is the business partner to the regional MD and his leadership team, use the financial perspective and board view to drive the business to meet the financial commitment, achieve profitable growth, sustain the return on capital & cash flow return. Another key responsibility is to safeguard company asset by ensuring compliance with system support, and drive internal control environment improvement.
Reports To
The position reports to the VP MD BMAP, and functionally reports to AP Finance Director.
Direct Reports About 5 people in FP&A team and 5-7 in the plants (dotted line)
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of broadening assignments and experience, expertise in a number of finance, accounting and audit positions.
Experience in Mergers and Acquisitions – Due diligence and consolidation.
Effectively work with regional and corporate management, comfortable working in a matrix organization.
Experience in a global environment with a role held across multiple countries preferred.
Help business to gain support and incentives through working and negotiation with government.
Proven experiences and results in processes that provide excellent internal control
Knowledge and Skills:
General knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory requirements
Proficiency in financial analysis and highly sensitive to business trends.
Linguistic capability: English required and Mandarin preferred
General business knowledge and clear understanding of customer needs and expectations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Independent yet a team player, result –oriented, and strong analytical skills.
Degree in Finance/Accounting related major is required; advanced degree such as MBA is preferred
Familiar with Asia Pacific especially China tax and business regulation.
Sold mind in driving business growth through strategic thinking
Strong systems knowledge of ERP (SAP preferred)
Strong Intellect. Bright individual, with ability to combine analytical reasoning, creativity and judgment. Quick study, able to handle complex matters, with multiple initiatives going on simultaneously
