Job Title: Search Quality Manager – greater China
The Online Sales and Operations team keeps *** growing and profitable. We are dedicated to supporting the company's growing base of advertisers, publishers and users in more than 40 languages on a global basis, and providing them with the highest levels of service. We are responsible for generating revenue from a broad range of products such as AdWords, AdSense, mail and *** Earth. This means that OSO team members need to be proactive, motivated, organised, responsible – and able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Job Description ("The role"):
This position is located in Beijing China
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and dynamic individual to lead
a team of Search Quality Evaluators who help improve the quality of ***'s
search results. This is an operational role for a web-savvy, energetic and
motivated self-starter who is passionate about team-building and creating a
great experience for users of ***'s internet search.
The Search Quality manager will innovate to drive quality initiatives, improve
operational efficiencies, and champion growth in a cutting-edge environment.
Ideal candidates are proven leaders, passionate about technology, and
motivated to challenge and inspire a talented team of search quality
professionals.
Responsibilities:
1. Directly manage and mentor highly skilled teams who investigate and analyze search quality issues in ***'s Chinese indexes.
2. Take a lead role in developing and implementing best practices for search quality investigation and analysis.
3. Build team structure, recognize leadership potential, and develop enhanced skill sets within the team.
4. Quickly develop creative solutions for complex and unpredicted problems, using quantitative analysis, industry research, and strategy development.
5. Work collaboratively with managers in several global offices as part of the Search Quality Evaluation global management team.
6. Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of our products and services.
7. Project manage global initiatives to drive future growth.
8. Act as a point of escalation for problems and liaise with engineering team.
Requirements:
1. Technical degree or experience working in technical environments
a PLUS"
2. Experience managing medium to large teams beneficial.
3. Passion for the Internet and familiarity with typical web practices.
4. Experience driving a regional or multi-region operations process preferrably with
a multi-national corporation; Business process engineering and automation a plus.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
6. Fluency in English.
