SUMMARY
Take the major and pivotal responsibility for managing Server & Storage New Design Products from early concept stage into Manufacturing at both Company and Cluster partners (Tier 1 customers in industry) and accomplish end to end management of the project covering every stage of the development lifecycle throughout the approvals stages and finally into manufacturing and post sales within limited time and cost constraints. Invariably be dedicated to the projects and Server & Storage domain to perform the central management function. Provide necessary supervision and helps to the design engineers. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within Company by harnessing new testing technologies and methodologies. Provide exceptional
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
As the main point of contact to the customer and BU persons for all the issues relating to the product development and introduction to Manufacturing
Focus on both product development (e.g. time to market, quality, delivery, cost etc) and manufacturability issues (e.g. DFx reporting, materials and supplier management etc.)
Develop, refine, optimize, and maintain the design processes & methods for all project development and documentation
Create an infrastructure that stimulates collaboration, execution and the development of technologies between the cross-function teams
Create and maintain awareness within the customer of the team achievements, objectives and concerns
Liaise with BU project Managers to co-ordinate programs and initiatives, Develop Improvement Programs for the team leaders in the project and monitor the execution of the improvement programs.
Support & Co-Ordinate the scheduled Business Review and Metrics driven process for all information
Manage the development process of products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or Existing products;
Develop project plan, schedule, milestone, budget and both inputs and outputs deliverables; monitor the project from initiation through delivery
Communicate project issue status to Company internal and external teams
Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints.
Manage design business quotation
(FRI/RFP/RFQ) & award and the project financial budgets
Person Background:
Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
9+ years computing-related project Management experience and Seven or more working years experience in Server & Storage Project Management will be required
Proven record of excellent Server, Storage business and related project Management experiences
Good leadership skills:
i)
Know strengths and weaknesses of subordinate employees and maximize their effectiveness
ii)
Promote the teamwork throughout the job sites and empower the subordinates with necessary responsibility to functions
iii)
Address employee issues in an appropriate manner taking into consideration all legal and regulatory requirements
iv)
Demonstrate appropriate people skills to facilitate smooth operation of the project
v)
Understand and address labor relations matters in compliance with all legal issues while protecting the integrity of the company and job site
Good Experienced in using the following software packages such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Project etc.
Experience providing storage and network engineering mentor and supervision for design implementation
Proficiency Level Written and Verbal English Skills
