Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring quality parts, part availability (continuity of supply), competitive cost, ensuring our suppliers meet our business requirements.
- Identify cost drivers and look for ways to improve quality, yields, reduce cycle times.
- Perform material planning working between the sales forecast data, the contract manufacturer and the component supplier.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Get suppliers to sign Non Disclosure Agreements.
- Other area of responsibilities:
- Commodity Technology Roadmap;
- Supplier Qualification (AVL) and Management;
- Global contracts negotiation;
- Price negotiation and award of business;
- QBR, Supplier Rating, Audits (new and sustaining);
- Supplier and Component Quality Management;
- Supplier Development;
Requirements:
- 5-10 years experience managing products in wireless industry, such as handsets, dongles or wireless data products;
- Knowledge of wireless chip set manufacturers, including pricing and royalty models;
- Proven track record in managing products from Prototype through EOL in a high fast pace high volume environment;
- Experienced in managing product manufacturing in a contract manufacturing environment;
- Process and quality engineering and / or agency approval process knowledge a plus;
- 10 years of working experience with large contract negotiation experience and proven cost reduction experience;
- Driven new product into production and managed a product life cycle;
- Ability to work independently and ensure timely and accurate communication between the company and our OEM partners;
- Experience working with International OEM Partners;
- Our candidate has demonstrated the ability to work with an external supply base, controlling and monitoring that supply base, implementing change where and when necessary;
- She/he will have demonstrated experience in leading teams, project management and working remotely with limited supervision
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Overseas experience.
- Excellent spoken and written English, fluent in Mandarin.
