The Business Development Senior Manager will be responsible for developing business, acquiring and growing China large merchants (LM) on company in specified verticals (one vertical in tech product as computer/cell phone/camera and their accessories, the other in fashion products as clothing/shoes/accessories); Work with global Business Development teams in specified vertical and various countries, and drive internal resources to power on CBT large merchant growth and performance; Meet the business target on large merchant signup and transaction volume; be quick in identifying new business opportunities; Budgeting, planning and implementing programs and partnerships around the business target; Be an opportunity for a high achiever to be part of a dynamic, high growth and fast-paced organization.
Responsibilities Include:
1.Identify the new LM opportunities in vertical based on own analysis/market research and demand from global BD and Vertical Management team
2.Budget, plan and execute the programs to successfully onboard the targeted LM to global marketplace
3.Work collaboratively with external and internal resources, including product management team, marketing team, key account management team, PR, global BD teams, 3rd-party partners to meet the business targets set by signup merchant and transaction volume
4.Develop and implement China LM strategies in global platform
Own the ultimate responsibilities and relationships for the success of acquired merchants
5.Lead promotions/activities in respective vertical among responsible LM
6.Establish and strengthen the brand awareness in respective vertical
7.Working closely with international and cross functional teams for business development and best practice sharing
Candidate Qualifications Include:
1.University and Degree Qualified in Business, Economics, Computer Science (or analytical discipline).
2.Track record of academic, professional or entrepreneurial achievement.
3.At least 8-10 years sales/business development experience in enterprise sales familiar with e-commerce
4.Experience in Trading companies or Sourcing Agents is a plus
5.Demonstration of strategic orientation and tactical business sense, and a track record of building new businesses and brands within highly competitive and fast-paced markets
6.An independent, proactive and effective player under pressure
7.Having >2 years' experience of people mgmt
8.Fluency in English a must (spoken & written)
9.Fluency in Chinese a must (spoken & written)
10.Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, ability to self-educate and work autonomously with minimal supervision
11.A fast worker, committed to meeting targets and deadlines
12.Excellent, solutions-focused interpersonal and communication skills
13.Ability to extract insights from data analysis, and PowerPoint presentation skills
