1) • Lead and direct sourcing teams in identifying, communicating and implementing sourcing strategies and supply chain management best practices
2) • Plan and implement activities related to the timely and cost effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials
3) • Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, material control systems and metrics to reduce costs, streamline procedures and implement solutions
4) • Establish successful relationships with suppliers on a country, regional or global basis to ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels
5) • Work with the Global Commodity management and strategic supply chain management teams on sourcing strategies including supplier selection, risk analysis and capacity management
6) • Coordinate with Finance on matters involving inventory carrying costs and review and plan requirements for acceptable inventory
7) • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
• Regularly interact with executives and major clients which may result in influencing and/or persuading customer negotiations
9) Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce
Job Requirements:
4.1 Education Qualification
1) Ideally, minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
2) Minimum Bachelor’s degree/diploma in other disciplines, but at least eight years working experience in related fields.
4.2 Knowledge & Skills
1) Sound knowledge and skills in purchasing and planning.
2) Sound knowledge in import and export laws and regulations.
3) Strong ability in organizing and prioritizing projects
4) Conversant in MS Office applications in English versions
5) Very good command of both written and spoken English
6) Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation and persuasion skills
4.3 Personal Attributes

4.4 Experience
1) At least five years experience in purchasing/planning fields
2) Good track records in material management
3) At least one year experience in a supervisory/managerial position
4) Exposure in a large scale manufacturing environment will be an added advantage
4.5 Other Requirements
1) Willing to travel frequently
2) Able to work under conditions of heavy pressure and resource constraint
