Actually, I am reading Vault Guide for Investment Bank and Sales & Trading part. As I read from the book, the Fixed Income Analyst (Research) is deemed most boring sector, so it only mentioned in half page.

Most time, I like to earn my monthly dinner income by short-selling, and stock/ETF-picking, but did not try options yet, since I do not have time to follow the price all the time... Sad

What a pity!...

These days, IPO/M&A does not have much to do as before (the situation in US, but not in Hong Kong), but Fixed Income/Derivatives are like skyrockets... Smile

However, I think most people cannot do that, simply because the math requirement is very high... Smile

Even in the UChicago GSB, many students drop the class in the first 2 weeks.

I am just curious how is the Fixed Income/Derivatives market in Asia/Hong Kong... Smile

I am not interested in research, I like to talk with clients... (That is the advantage of MBA... Smile

) After I took the class from the professor who is still the Head of Fixed Income Division, JP Morgan Chase, I feel I like this stuff a lot ... Smile

Hope someone can give me hints in Asian market... Thanks a lot!
